What Can I Expect When I Arrive For Worship?
When you arrive at Wrightsville United Methodist Church for worship we hope that you will feel comfortable coming as you are.
You don’t have to be a Methodist or a long-time churchgoer to feel at ease here. A greeter will welcome you at the doors. An usher will hand you a bulletin that shows what will take place in the worship service as well as what activities are coming up that week and month. We come to worship to give praise to God. We sing, we pray, we greet each other, we affirm our beliefs together, and we hear the Word of God read and proclaimed. We then depart from worship to go back into the world to serve the same God that we worship.
Wrightsville is a big church that feels a lot like a small church. It shouldn’t take long for you to make connections with people around you who are also walking a similar spiritual journey.
We would love for you to worship with us online at any time, or on Sunday mornings in the Sanctuary at 8:15, 9:45, and 11:15 am.
Hope to see you there!

We have a casual atmosphere, but we love seeing folks dress in their Sunday best too. Just wear what makes you comfortable! Jeans and a shirt or a suit and tie are both perfectly suitable Sunday morning get ups at WUMC.
What do you have for kids?
We have lots of great stuff happening at WUMC for children – on Sunday mornings and lots of other times too!
What do you have for youth?
We have lots of great stuff happening at WUMC for youth – on Sunday mornings and lots of other times too!
worship for children
We want your kids to love coming to church, and we have created fun, engaging kid environments for them to learn, be creative and have the best time while at church. We want to see families experience Jesus together, help kids take the next steps in their faith and support parents as spiritual leaders of their families. We love to see them in worship and Sunday School. Check it all out!
Sunday School Details
Sunday School happens every Sunday at 9:45 for children, youth and adults. If you’re attending the 9:45 service, you can drop your kids off before entering the sanctuary, and pick them up at the end of the service. Our kids programs are engaging, fun, and teach a practical, Bible-based lesson each week.
Why do we gather?
Each week we gather as a church, to grow closer to God through great teaching and to focus our hearts through worship on the God who gives us life. We grow together as we are challenged to serve our community, our city, our country, and our world. We are united in seeking God and serving together.
