EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
When did you join the staff and what is your position?
It has been my joy to serve on staff here at Wrightsville UMC since April of 2002. I served as the Director of Spiritual Formation for 21 years, working with a tremendous team of teachers and leaders. Currently I serve as the Executive Director of Wrightsville UMC and again am privileged to work with great leaders and staff as we strive to build the Kingdom of God while making Wrightsville UMC the best it can be!
Where were you born and raised?
I was born in Greensboro, but was raised here in Wilmington. I grew up at Wrightsville UMC and then moved away for nearly 20 years while my husband served as a pilot in the US Navy. Those 20 years took us to Pensacola, Florida; Meridian, Mississippi; Ceiba, Puerto Rico; and Lemoore, California.
Where did you go to school?
I’m a proud Hoggard High School Viking and also a proud graduate of Meredith College.
Do you have family?
My husband, Jerome, and I have two great adult children – Meredith and Garrett. Jerome and I have been married since 1985 and lived out of the area for several years while he served as a Naval Aviator. He now flies for American Airlines and works for Providence Investments. All of our parents live in Wilmington and so we are blessed to be able to see them often. In fact my parents attend Wrightsville UMC – and have since 1968!
What do you like to do in your free time?
I love traveling, sailing, reading, and spending time with family and friends.
